This is my Dad's bike. I'm pretty sure he bought it in the spring of 2002 from the previous owner of Commonwealth Ducati in Louisville. It's been well taken care of, and is in great shape. It's got a full Arrow system on it, which produces an awesome growl. It also has a nice Corbin seat that has a mount for a passenger backrest. Dad never got it, because Mom didn't like the idea of riding passenger on a sportbike. The Brembo brakes stop this bike better than any other sportbike I've ridden. This bike is super smooth and easy to ride fast or slow on.
The bike is at my house. If you've got any questions, call me: 859-457-0977. Mileage is approximately 18k. New starter motor, new clutch slave cylinder, new battery.

Hi, I listed this bike before but I let it slide. Clean title, currently non-oppd, its still sitting in my garage because I dont have time to ride so back to the top for $5300 firm, BARF only price! Can truck it for the buyer for gas, or you can register it and ride away.
2001 Ducati 996 Ferrari fly yellow paint, previous owner. 7500 mile service done at 8400 miles in July 2009, new clutch plates and basket installed New chain 200 miles ago. Mileage: 9,7xx Ohlins suspension Brembo disk brakes Dyne performance chip, 124hp rear wheel Carbon fiber package REMUS Carbon fiber exhaust Mono seat installed Stock mirrors and turn signals replaced with mirrors with LED turn signals. Metzler M3s have less than 500 miles on them.
Extras: Rear stand. Carbon fiber tank protector. Biposto seat Original turn signal assembly
This is a beautiful bike and has been a joy to ride.
Minor cosmetic damage: there are some scratches on the paint of the LH fairing from being set on the ground unprotected but you dont see it unless you look. One of the two bolt holes for the kickstand is stripped from taking off with the stand down and will need to be re-threaded. There is also a small scratch on the gas tank.

OK so a friend just e-mailed me that he is finally parting with his beloved Ducati.
So here's the story. He's the second owner and the first owner is also a friend of mine. I've known this bike it's whole life. The first owner bought it brand new and we went riding to the Pinnacles. Guess what? He crashed the bike trying to keep up with me. Broke his arm. The bike itself suffered only cosmetic damage to the half fairing (it is the CR model which was not the fully faired bike), a broken footpeg and lever. Other than that it was still a great bike. But my friend no longer wanted it after the crash. He told the insurance company to total the bike.
So my other friend Brian had a 650 Cagiva Allazura I had turned him on to. I saw this as a way for him to move up affordably with a fixer upper. Well Brian is an industrial designer so he doesn't mess around when it comes to fixing vehicles up (the guy built a Lotus Super 7 in his garage!)
So Brian bought the bike and then bought Air Tech full fairing and seat. He painted the fairing and seat to match a Ducati NCR race bike. That is what makes this bike unique. You will not see another Ducati with this paint scheme. Brian did a pro job too.
Otherwise the bike is bone stock and Brian has never really ridden it hard to its limit. It has had a relatively easy life. Brian just listed the bike on Craigs List here. Tell him Gil sent you! A sweet bike for sure. I have ridden it.

Selling this for my father. It's a 2008 with the low seat and ABS, something like $1100 in options, and the bike only has around 1800 miles, its minty fresh.
Silver and yellow, dealer serviced, and has existing warranty as well. No problems, no recalls, ready to go!
$10,900 and would entertain trades with a customized glide or similar. Might go for a Ducati ST if its an S model. Just a couple bikes I know he likes. Only selling because of vehicular ADD.

Hey Guys, Posting this for a Buddy:
I'm selling my Red 2008 Ducati 1098S with 3,399 miles and in brilliant condition. It's always been garaged and used for recreational riding. Problem is that I have two young kids and 3 motorcycles, so never get to ride my Duc.
The 1098S retailed for $22,000 in 2008 and features Ohlins suspension front and rear, Machesini forged and machined lighter weight wheels, carbon fender plus the Ducati Data Analysis System, compared the the base model 1098.
I've added CRG adjustable levers, plus black rear sets for a tailored riding position.
I will also throw in a Baxley sport chock bike stand and Ducati Superbike Cover.

Search title on Craigslist... http://denver.craigslist.org/mcy/1939072426.html
Ok, obviously this bike is not selling so I have decided to trade the old girl... I don't need the cash just bored with the bike. Its a 2003 Kawasaki Z-1000 or ZR-1000 Liter Bike that has 23k miles and has a Clear Colorado title in hand. I have done a bunch of upgrades to include: New Leo Vince Exhaust, Power Commander 3 with USB port, LP Seat Cowl, Rizoma - Italian Billet hand grips, Fender Eliminator, Carbon Fiber Tank Pad, Lower Rise Bar for more better handling, and is in excellent running condition.
What I am looking for: A BMW from 1974 - 1982 in models: R65, R80, R90, or R100. Mileage must be less then 50k and must possess title. I am also interested in Ducati. I am also interested in GP bikes like RS 125, RS125, RS 250, RS250, TZ125, TZ 125, TZ 250, TZ250. I am also interested in any 2000 and newer supermoto 450 and up. I am also interested in Triumph Bonneville and or Thruxton. Or any Liter bike 2003 and up or 06 R6
What do you have?
Thanks for your time...

Black and orange 2005 Ducati Monster S2r 800cc with 8300 miles for sale. I purchased this bike new and have maintained it meticulously. Recent services have been conducted by Desmoto in San Francisco, which just completed a valve check, oil change, and overall inspection of the bike. This Ducati has never been ridden on the track, crashed, dropped, or abused and is in top condition. This bike has a full Arrow carbon exhaust, DID gold chain, CRG bar end mirrors, and a tail chop with an integrated LED tail light, Michelin Pilot Power tires, new battery, and will come with a pit-bull rear stand. Im asking $ 6000.00 for this bike. Quick iPhone photo does not do this bike justice.

I owe $9,000 on it. Some scratches on stator cover from a 0 mph STUPID lean/drop onto sand. tail eliminator but kept parts in a drawer. $1500 CARBON FIBER termis sound awesome. Put a CRG hanlde bar mirror on it, but kept the old mirrors in a drawer. about 5 thousand miles. Bought from Ducati of Santa Barbara a year ago. Maintenance done. I changed oil recently. I lube the chain religiously. Reg paid August. Needs tires. I need to have less cost in my life. I will miss this bike. I am riding it only a few times a month now. I am in Atascadero, California...

I bought this GS from my friend. He liked the idea of riding, but it wasn't to be. Put less that 500 miles on it and dropped it 3 times, lol. He paid $3k for it because it was in perfect condition. Obviously, after dropping it the fairings were scratched one of the levers was bent. It is a now naked. The rear fairing is cracked on one side. I have it ziptied together. The good news was they were all low speed. Once in his driveway (were it dips) and the others were coming to a stop. Mechanically it's a peach. 10k miles on it. Since i've had it; (last 1000 miles) -New engine oil, fork oil, air filter, oil filter. -Valve adjustment 500 miles ago. -New Michelin Pilot Activ front and rear -Brake bleed -Sportier handlebar (original included) -Carb cleaning -new NGK spark plugs While I was in there I made sure everything was in order. I'm a automotive tech so i just fix my own stuff.
It's a great bike and I don't mind riding it but i want something with fairings for my commute. (really i just want money to try and buy a ducati because my friend got one and i'm uber jealous) (eat dick Aaron!)
$2000 Bike is in SF and I work in Hayward.

Summary: 1998 Ducati ST2. As is for $2000. 38,500 miles. Salvage Title. Everything is currently 100% functional on the bike. Will need a full service by 40,000 miles, will need the clutch replaced sometime soon too. The front tire is starting to show wear bars on the sides (but not the middle). Please contact me by e-mail for further details. Located in Pleasanton.
The verbose version, including all known issues with the bike:
The ST2 is a sport touring bike that is more on the sport side than any of the other bikes that claim to be sport touring bikes. It's a great motorcycle for twisty roads or if you need to cover long distances in a hurry on any type of road. The 1998 ST2, unlike later models, came with a fully adjustable suspension. The ST2 has more midrange power than the ST4 models even if it has less power on top. Mine showed 79 horsepower and over 58 ft/lbs of torque on the Nichols dyno.
Dyno chart (blue is the ST2):
The bike pulls strongly from 3000 rpms to redline somewhere past 9000. I love the powerband of this bike.
Current mileage at the time this was written, 38,489. All services have been done at Nichols Sportbike Service since I've owned the bike, starting with a service at 15,000 miles. I've done all oil changes at the 3000 mile marks using a new Ducati oil filter and semi-synthetic 20W/50 oil.
Everything is currently 100% functional on the bike.
What work it needs:I was planning to get a full service done by 40,000 miles, this includes valve check and adjust, new cam belts, tuning of the fuel injection, bleeding of brake and clutch, and a bunch of other little odds and ends like that. The bike has always run wonderfully after a full service. (It's not bad now, actually.)It will need a new clutch soon. It still has the original one, which is quite loud and looks rather hammered if you open it up. It still works perfectly well, though. I was going to get it replaced with the service rather than waiting until it finally wears out.The front Pirelli Diablo Strada tire is starting to show wear bars and should be replaced soon. There is still quite a bit of tread in the middle, but not on the sides. The current tire is somewhat triangulated, so the steering is a bit quicker and it tends to fall into corners at speeds below 25 mph or so.It needs no other work that I know of.
Things that are fairly new or have been recently replaced on the bike:New battery a few months ago.New chain less than a year ago.New rear wheel bearings last spring.Fairly new Pirelli Angle ST tire on the rear.Forks were serviced by Phil Douglas of Aftershocks Suspension, then the suspension was tuned for me, which improved handling noticably.Oil change with semi-synthetic oil and Ducati oil filter at 37,000 miles.Other upgrades during the six plus years that I've owned it:Bar riders that raise the bars 3/4" to make it a little more comfortable most of the time.Powerlet battery cables were installed in place of the original Ducati cables to improve starting.Nichols oil breather. The shifter is from a Monster. The original ST2 shifter was about an inch too short, while the Monster shifter is just right. The stock mufflers have been modified internally to let a bit more of the Ducati sound out. They're not as loud as most aftermarket mufflers, but sound quite a bit better than stock. I have totally stock cans available, if desired.Issues with the bike - this is everything that I know of:The bike has a salvage title. There is no evidence of any damage to the frame or suspension, but I'm sure the fairing was scraped originally. It already had the non-standard yellow paint when I got it. Normally it would say "Ducati ST2" on the side of the fairing in the more modern font rather than saying "Ducati" on the fuel tank in the 1997 and older font. The speedometer drive is cracked in the plastic outer housing, but it has worked just fine that way for 25,000 miles. It has an oil leak of some sort. Not enough that it has ever left a spot of oil on the ground under it, but enough to keep the engine dirty behind the fairing. It's definitely not enough that I have to add oil. I almost never need to add oil between the 3000 mile oil changes. The hard bag bracket on the left side cracked last year and I took it to a local muffler shop to get it welded back together. Both the bracket and the mounting point on the frame were welded. I just sprayed the area with black paint with no attempt to match the frame color. You have to remove plastic to see it.Last year I managed to break the swingarm adjuster plate, probably because I hadn't torqued the rear axle properly. It gouged the inside of the swingarm on the left side and damaged the chain (hence the recent new chain). That has all been repaired with a stronger adjuster plate replacing the old weak one. That also led to the rear bearing replacement. The face of the speedometer is cracked. One time I accidentally sprayed a small amount of brake fluid from the open clutch reservior into this area and didn't realize it. I had carefully covered all paint, but a few hours later I noticed that the brake fluid had caused the speedometer to crack, along with the discoloration. The speedometer still works just fine, though. The bar risers cause the master cylinders to touch the inner fairing by the windshield, leaving a scrape mark on each side. The rear brake rotor is probably worn beyond service limits. I don't use it that much, so I haven't worried about it.The clutch and brake are both a bit soft - bleeding helps for a few weeks or months, then it goes back to being soft again. The clutch still allows shifting to neutral at stops, so it is not a problem. The brake has about an extra half inch of travel and usually firms up nicely after bleeding againThe following photos were all taken on September 6, 2010.

This bike has seen the best twisties that TN, KY, VA, WV, and AR offer. This is my 3rd Monster, and by far the best one I've owned. It has the Aztec8 dual headlight kit, Ferracci full exhaust system, Competition Werkes fender eliminator, CRG 3" mirrors, Marsee tankbag (permanently mounted attachment around the gas cap, twists on), RK Gold x-ring chain, 1 tooth smaller front sprocket, bar risers, full service manual on DVD, and a brand new front Dunlop Sportmax tire. Included is all the original lighting pieces, a carbon fiber-colored tank guard which I never applied, the useless front fairing piece, rear shock adjusting spanners and the chain tensioning spanner, and the Ducati rear-wheel stand (priceless for maintenance!) It has 18573 miles, never been laid down, and always been serviced at the proper maintenance intervals. Selling price is $5900 firm, which is more than fair for all that's included. Runs excellent, and she's ready to roll for the fall riding season. 10,000 Firm.
All Street parts available, but not included at this price,
I am considering trades for fully race prepped 600's/750's only. I am not interested in anything street, or 1000cc racebikes.
I am in no position to have to do anything with this bike, it's a matter of choice. I would like to find something that is more to my liking, but until then I will be taking this to the track and racing it.

I have a buddy who is selling his Duc S4 916cc. Its in perfect cond. under 5000 miles, and has all the carbon accessories, Including the dual Termignoni Carbon exhaust. Its Anthracite(Dk Grey) in color, with painted matched wheels. (they originally were red wheels in 02) Has Sargent seat the rear solo seat cowl as well. Bike has been mildly ridden. A good local deal for someone who wants a Monster. Garage Kept and well cared for. Bike has a salvaged title due to a soft lowside in grass three years ago. Dealer estimate 'totalled' it, we replaced the bent right footpeg assy, rear brake lever, and broken front brake lever. There was no serious damage to the bike. He wants to trade it in on the new 796 Hyper, but the Dealer wont take a salvage title. Bike is in Mason, OH. PM me for contact hookup.
